Saint James Episcopal Church, Lancaster   Leave a comment

One of Lancaster’s beautiful historic churches, Saint James was founded in 1744 and counts many of the city’s early American leaders among its history of worshippers.  This entrance is accessed from the Duke Street sidewalk.  I love visiting the small and peaceful courtyard / cemetery to the right, and a walk through the larger cemetery to the rear is a mini history lesson in 250+ years of prominent Lancaster citizenry.
